The application phase for the acceleration program SCB Innovation Hub 2023/24 is closed. For the inaugural season of this new SC Braga’s project, in partnership with Microsoft, 47 applications were submitted, covering all four pillars: Health & Performance; Sports City, Smart Stadium & Arena; Fan Engagement.
The phase that now ends confirmed the global appeal of SC Braga’s acceleration program for the area of sports tech, since the origin of the applications reveals its international dimension, comprising five continents and more than a dozen countries. It is also important to highlight the important response obtained nationally, showing the relevance of the project for national startups, many of them with origins in Braga and Minho.
SC Braga’s President, António Salvador, understands this inaugural phase as a tremendous success. “I thank all the companies that applied to the competition, sharing their projects and ideas, and trusting SC Braga and its partners to support them in developing and realizing their capacity and their value proposition to the market. Fortunately, the adhesion we had exceeded our best expectations and shows that there is room for this program. We know that not everyone will be admitted for this initial season, but those who are not selected will have new opportunities, as I believe will happen with many other companies that, a year from now, will be more capable and know that they will find in SC Braga a support that can be decisive for their success, “he said.
Once the application phase is closed, the jury will proceed to their analysis, calling the best projects for the Pitch Day, which will take place on May 12.
